Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive / Licensed Conveyancer

Overview

In this role, you will manage a broad residential conveyancing caseload while supporting the Head of Department in developing the team. You will handle freehold/leasehold sales, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build purchases, delivering high-quality results from instruction to completion. You will provide expert advice, oversee due diligence, and ensure compliance with SRA, AML, and lender requirements, maintaining strong client relationships. The position offers hybrid working and the chance to contribute to a busy, well-established team with a focus on profitability and client service. Responsibilities

• Manage a broad residential conveyancing caseload (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds)
• Oversee due diligence, title review, searches, and contract documentation
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and related documents
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, developers, and other solicitors
• Ensure compliance with SRA, AML, and lender panel obligations
• Maintain accurate case management records and manage legal risk
• Deliver exceptional client service and maintain relationships
• Meet departmental productivity and billing targets
• Mentor and supervise junior colleagues
• Support leadership with operations, planning and team development
• Expand client base through networking and cross-referrals

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ PQE or equivalent experience as Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEX Lawyer with Advanced Practice Rights
• Outstanding communication and client care skills
• Strong time management and prioritisation abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and meticulous case management
• Professional handling of confidential information
• Confident in building client and stakeholder relationships
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
