Senior Estimator

Overview

In this Senior Estimator role, you will drive competitive tenders and accurate estimates for civil engineering projects to support the pre-construction team. You will collaborate with operations and commercial colleagues to secure new business and reduce risk. You’ll review drawings, specs and contracts to produce reliable submissions while identifying value engineering opportunities. The role offers exposure to major infrastructure work across Northern Ireland and the UK, with clear paths for development and progression.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering projects
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
• Support the pre-construction team in winning new business
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams

Key requirements

• Previous estimation experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
