We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our estimating and commercial functions across our Roofing, Property and Renewable Services Divisions. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll play a key role in driving profitable growth, managing commercial performance, developing our estimating and quantity surveying teams, and helping shape the future direction of the business.
For the right candidate, this is much more than a traditional commercial management position. You will have the opportunity to shape commercial strategy, strengthen and develop our estimating and quantity surveying functions, influence future growth and play a key role in the continued development of Aspect across our Roofing Services, Property Services and Renewable divisions.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking an established commercial professional who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.
Essential experience and qualifications
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a similar/ equivalent discipline.
- At least 10 years’ experience within estimating, quantity surveying or commercial management in the construction or property services sector.
- Strong experience of roofing and property refurbishment, planned maintenance and capital works.
- Proven experience pricing works for housing associations, local authorities, commercial clients or other public-sector organisations.
- Sound knowledge of framework contracting and NEC, JCT and NATFed contract forms.
- Experience within roofing, building refurbishment, property maintenance or decarbonisation projects.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Confidence using Excel and commercial pricing cost-management systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
