Quality Manager Projects W/M – Axima Nucléaire

Overview

As Project Quality Manager you ensure that quality requirements are integrated into the project management system for major UK nuclear projects. You lead QA/QC activities across engineering, procurement and on-site installation, coordinating a dedicated quality team. You drive audits, non-conformity handling and continuous improvement within a safety-critical, multi-site environment. This role combines technical rigour with cross-functional leadership to support HPC and SZC deployments and uphold nuclear safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Integrate contractual quality requirements into the project management system and ensure implementation by personnel, subcontractors and supply chain
• Establish and maintain the Contract Quality Assurance Plan (CQAP) and related documentation
• Coordinate the quality team for engineering and procurement activities and oversee on-site installation support
• Lead independent quality and nuclear safety oversight through audits and site visits
• Manage subcontracted manufacturing inspection contracts with the Quality and Supplier Oversight Department
• Handle non-conformities, monitor customer claims and ensure timely resolution
• Participate in supplier audits with Project Quality Engineers
• Share best practices and drive continuous improvement across the department
• Travel within UK and France as required by location

Key requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• Experience in QA/QC with knowledge of ISO 19443 and IAEA GS-R-3
• Knowledge of UK nuclear quality standards and practices (LC17 and/or CDM) is advantageous
• Strong autonomy and rigor with excellent communication skills
• Cross-functional leadership and decision-making capabilities
• English language proficiency for daily communication
