Location: London
Job Description:

A leading London-based boutique Corporate Finance, M&A and Equity Capital Markets adviser is seeking an Associate to join its team. The firm advises on buy-side and sell-side M&A, recommended public offers, primary fundraisings and portfolio transactions across public and private markets, working across various sectors.

The Role

You will take day-to-day ownership of live M&A and ECM transactions, working directly with senior team members and client management. Financial modelling is a core part of the role. You will be expected to independently build and maintain high-quality, bespoke three-statement financial models to best practice, and take ownership of related financial analysis (including valuation mechanics, scenario analysis, merger & accretion analysis, EV-Equity bridges, NWC pegs and funds flows). You will also:

  • Lead day-to-day transaction execution and multi-party workstreams from origination through to close
  • Prepare transaction documentation (Information Memorandums, forecasts, management presentations, Board/Investment Committee materials)
  • Coordinate due diligence processes (including VDR and Q&A management)
  • Act as a day-to-day client contact with regular interaction with senior management
  • Execute alongside counterparties at leading investment banks
  • Support origination activity and the firm’s direct investment workstreams

Most mandates are mid-market M&A transactions in the £50m–£500m range, across various sectors, with additional exposure to ECM and fundraising.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical foundations with the ability to operate confidently in a client-facing environment.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent) or CFA
  • Strong financial modelling experience gained in a transactions environment, with a clear understanding of best-practice modelling standards
  • Ability to independently build complex integrated three-statement models
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years’ relevant post-qualified experience combining financial modelling with M&A, ECM or a closely adjacent deal environment
  • Strong academic background

What’s on Offer

  • Bonus: Up to 100%
  • Sensible work-life balance
  • Clear career advancement opportunities and genuine execution responsibility
  • Direct exposure to senior stakeholders and high-profile mandates
  • The chance to build a compelling track record in a fast-moving boutique environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong financial modeller who wants broader transaction ownership, client exposure and the chance to operate in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
