Principal Structural Engineer

Overview

In this Principal Structural Engineer role, you will help lead projects within a long-standing engineering practice in London. You will work closely with the Structures Director to drive the team forward and manage key client relationships. You’ll balance hands-on structural design with people and office development to support expansion. The role offers autonomy, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to shape large-scale housing projects and other civil/structural work.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and drive the structural team to meet project goals
• Manage client relationships and expectations
• Support expansion and development of the London office and team
• Balance hands-on design with project management and coordination
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (MEP, Civil, Structural) and external stakeholders
• Contribute to business development and securing major projects

Key requirements

• Chartered MIStructE or MICE
• eligible to live and work in the UK
