Overview
In this role, you will support Ascot Group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function, assisting risk governance, oversight, and regulatory adherence across the Syndicate and wider group. You will help maintain risk registers, participate in risk reviews, and contribute to risk reporting, scenario analysis, and ORSA preparation. Collaborating with cross-entity teams, you will help translate risk insights into practical governance and policy improvements. This position offers exposure to Lloyd’s principles, regulatory projects, and a dynamic, risk-focused environment centered on resilient, client-centric underwriting.
Responsibilities
- Support risk oversight activities and attend risk review meetings with functions annually
- Maintain risk register and conduct risk and control effectiveness reviews across entities
- Contribute to governance framework, risk appetite policies, and related risk documents
- Produce quarterly risk reports and the annual ORSA against risk appetite
- Monitor emerging risks and provide analysis to Risk Committee and Board
- Prepare risk appetite metrics MI with key indicators
- Assist design of forward-looking scenarios and model implementations for Risk Committee/Board
- Ensure adherence to Lloyd’s Principles and governance requirements; support attestation processes
- Support regulatory/compliance projects (Lloyd’s, UK, US, Bermuda) and policy maintenance across Ascot Group
- Prepare papers for committee/external meetings and assist in wider risk/actuarial activities
- Attend industry workshops and training
Key requirements
- Risk and/or actuarial experience within Lloyd’s or London Market
- Professional qualifications
- Strong data processing and numerical skills
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
