Senior Physical Design Engineer

Overview

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will work on delivering cutting-edge physical design solutions for a leading independent design service company. You will contribute across the full PD flow and collaborate on projects spanning communications, industrial, avionics and security markets. You’ll tackle challenges from netlist to GDS and help meet tapeout milestones for multiple customers. This role offers exposure to a wide range of PD tasks and process technologies, with a meaningful impact on product reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute full physical design flow from netlist to GDS including floorplanning, power planning, placement and optimisation, CTS, routing, post-route optimisation and DRC closure
• Work across diverse PD tasks to deliver solutions for customer needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multiple projects across varied markets

Key requirements

• 3+ successful tapeouts
• Knowledge of PD flow end-to-end (netlist to GDS) with floorplanning, power planning, placement & optimisation, CTS, routing, post-route optimisation and DRC closure
• Experience in logic synthesis, Conformal, static timing analysis and Place and Route (PnR)
• Experience with 22/20nm process nodes desirable
