Supplier Development & Quality Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead a multi-functional supplier development and quality capability within Strategic Supply Chain Management to deliver robust supplier performance. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across functions to align quality and supply chain goals, driving improvements and ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements. The role supports project delivery across Warship Support and Products, contributing to a broader business transformation. This is a hybrid, security-conscious position offering meaningful impact and growth within a global defence leader.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a cross-functional supplier development and quality capability aligned to business goals
• Lead supplier quality assurance projects and programs across Supply Chain and functions
• Conduct supplier capability assessments and implement improvement plans
• Oversee supplier quality governance and assurance against quality frameworks
• Drive supplier quality and performance improvements to reduce risk and enable operational excellence
• Perform supplier quality activities including verifications, audits, non-conformances and first article inspections
• Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality requirements and review processes
• Collaborate with supplier managers to strengthen supplier delivery and resilience

Key requirements

• Extensive knowledge of quality certifications and regulatory standards (ISO, AS, AQAP)
• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Inspection end-to-end processes
• Understanding of cross-functional integration to achieve quality and supply chain goals
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and their practical application
• Experience in development and implementation of supplier performance management tools
