Identity & Access Management – Authentication Services Product Owner

Overview

As MFA Product Owner, you will own the MFA strategy within Nomura’s IAM program, guiding the design, rollout, and migration of authentication solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, user-friendly access controls at scale. This role sits at the core of our security and digital transformation journey, shaping how employees and systems authenticate across the enterprise. You’ll drive a risk-based conditional access approach and oversee a transformation initiative to improve security posture and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and drive agile deliverables
• Lead MFA migration from Cisco DUO and RSA SecurID to Microsoft Authenticator
• Provide technical coaching to a team of SME engineers
• Collaborate with architecture teams to design robust MFA solutions
• Develop and enforce a risk-based conditional access policy
• Implement monitoring and reporting on MFA usage and effectiveness
• Perform risk assessments and propose remediation for IAM vulnerabilities

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Science or Information Technology; Master preferred
• Several years in Identity and Access Management with MFA focus
• Experience as a Product Owner managing a prioritized backlog
• Experience with financial institutions and regulatory security requirements
• Hands-on experience with Cisco DUO, RSA SecurID, and Microsoft Authenticator (beneficial)
• Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect; enterprise security frameworks
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA desirable
