What your role will look like
As our Principal Planner, you will:
- Lead major projects and take pride in seeing them delivered successfully
- Shape strategy for clients across a range of sectors, using your judgement to find the best route forward
- Build lasting client relationships where people trust you and come back to you
- Mentor and inspire our planning team, helping the next generation of planners grow
- Be a voice in the industry, sharing your expertise at events and through online content
- Win new work and open doors to new relationships
- Champion Arrow and help raise our profile across the region
Is this you?
You’ll be right at home here if you:
- Hold a degree in Town Planning or a related field
- Bring at least 7 years of planning experience, ideally across both the public and private sectors, with plenty of project management under your belt
- Are a Member of the RTPI
- Lead with confidence and bring out the best in a team
- Have a track record of developing and delivering planning strategies
- Feel at ease delivering Planning CPD to internal and external audiences

You’ll bring expert knowledge of planning processes, regulations and case law. You’ll lead business development and client engagement. You’ll help keep our team culture positive and energised, make sound decisions as a leader, and keep learning, creating and presenting CPD that helps the whole team grow.
