Director and Service Lead – Fire Engineering – London

London | £110,000 – £130,000 depending on qualifying criteria | Full-time, with discretionary flexible working applications after probation

Hunter Dunning is working with a multidisciplinary consultancy to appoint a Director and Service Lead – Fire Engineering to establish and lead a new fire engineering department in London. With Board-level support, you will oversee departmental strategy, technical standards, commercial performance, and team development across existing buildings, refurbishment, remediation, and new development projects.

Your Experience

• Chartered Fire Engineer with the Institution of Fire Engineers; IFSM accreditation preferred
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong portfolio of complex fire engineering projects
• Experience with higher-risk buildings, fire strategies, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations 2010
• Proven experience in business development, recruitment, and technical leadership
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and digital project, document, and information management systems
