As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting teachers and helping pupils to thrive in a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
- Prepare classroom resources and assist with daily classroom activities.
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous experience working in a UK primary school or nursery (essential).
- A positive, proactive and caring attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work school hours (8:30am-3:30pm).
- The right to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
