Your role

You will act as East Suffolk Council’s primary community-facing contact for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), building and maintaining positive relationships between the Council, local communities and project stakeholders.

The role will provide a visible and trusted presence within affected communities, ensuring residents, businesses, community organisations, and town and parish councils have clear opportunities to access information, raise concerns, and engage with discussions on project impacts and opportunities. The postholder will proactively develop and deliver community engagement activities, briefings, workshops and stakeholder events to engage with residents and impacted communities.

A key responsibility will be the coordination and management of Sizewell C-related enquiries, concerns and complaints. Working with Council services and external partners, the postholder will ensure issues are investigated, monitored and responded to effectively, maintaining oversight of actions and outcomes while supporting timely issue resolution.

You will be educated to A Level standard or have an equivalent relevant qualification or experience. Strong organisation and prioritisation skills along with attention to detail is also essential as you will be maintaining records, manging casework and coordinating multiple enquiries.

A positive and flexible individual, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with a diverse range of individuals. You will be comfortable with communicating complex information to varying audiences and able to work collaboratively across multiple teams and organisations.
