Stores person/FLT driver

Working on behalf of our client based on a site in Wrexham. We are currently recruiting for an FLT Driver / Stores Person.

Key Duties:

• Set up a new engineering stores facility from scratch
• Build the inventory system from the ground up: cataloguing parts and consumables, assigning part numbers and locations, and recording opening stock levels
• Carry out an initial stock take and establish ongoing cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy
• Receive, inspect and book in deliveries, checking goods against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies or damage
• Issue parts, tools and consumables to engineering staff, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded
• Set minimum and maximum stock levels and re-order points, raising purchase requisitions as needed to avoid shortages and overstocking
• Liaise with engineers, maintenance teams and suppliers to understand demand and keep critical spares available
• Manage ongoing day-to-day running of the stores, keeping the area clean, organised and safe
• Handle returns, quarantined items and obsolete or surplus stock in line with company procedures
• Operate a Forklift Truck to safely to load, unload and move stock, carrying out daily pre-use checks

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

• FLT Counterbalance Licence
• Previous stores or warehouse experience
• Ability to work safely within an industrial/site environment
• Reliable and proactive approach to work

What our client can offer in return:

• Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
• Weekend working available on an ad hoc basis as required
