Engineering Management & Integration

Overview

In this role you will coordinate engineering activities across the full product lifecycle to deliver Typhoon weapon capabilities and other defence platforms. You will work with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to shape requirements, oversee governance and ensure on-time, on-cost, and quality delivery. The position involves significant stakeholder engagement and opportunities to influence capability development across the organisation. You will operate within a dynamic Engineering Management & Integration team, contributing to high-profile programmes. Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the team and drive transformation activities
• Coordinate department contract delivery and conduct internal reviews as needed
• Represent the department in external meetings with contract owners and report status
• Manage internal and external dependencies to ensure timely outputs
• Support business review processes including Programme, Performance, Capability, Risk and Opportunities, Technical, CSR
• Oversee all engineering lifecycle activities: planning, governance, maturity management and reporting to project/engineering reviews
• Interface with stakeholders at all levels to ensure issues are managed operationally and contractually

Key requirements

• Broad engineering background with knowledge of product development, systems integration, trials and in-service support
• Proven experience applying Systems Engineering principles to technical and programme management
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of financial and contractual aspects of delivering complex programmes
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership, customers and suppliers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multiple functions and delivery organisations
• Experience managing technical governance, delivery and engineering activities in multi-disciplinary environments
