Finance Transformation Lead – Financial Services
Location: Ideally Leeds; remote working may be considered with regular travel to Leeds
Duration: Four weeks full time, followed by six months at one day per month
Target start: Early November
Daily rate: To be confirmed; proposed rates considered.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Lead to advise the CFO of a financial services organisation on its transformation roadmap.
This engagement will suit someone who has personally delivered finance transformation within financial services and can bring practical insight, constructive challenge and lessons learned from previous programmes.
The role
Working with senior Finance, Technology and business stakeholders, you will review transformation plans and help shape a more efficient, controlled and insight-led finance function.
You will:
- Review and challenge the finance transformation roadmap.
- Share practical experience of approaches used across other financial services organisations.
- Identify potential delivery issues early and recommend ways to address them.
- Act as a trusted adviser and critical friend to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to workshops with relevant industry perspectives and recommendations.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience delivering finance transformation programmes within financial services.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, operating models, controls, reporting and data.
- Experience managing complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes.
- Confidence working across Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology and business teams.
- Strong understanding of regulated financial services environments.
- Experience with finance systems, reporting platforms, data or process automation.
- The credibility and communication skills to advise senior leaders, challenge assumptions and handle difficult conversations constructively.
