Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Locality Team. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and council policies.
- Engaging with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in social work practice, particularly within a locality or children’s services setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
- Proficiency in assessment and intervention planning, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
