Senior Litigation Counsel, EMEA

Overview

As Litigation Counsel in TikTok’s Global Litigation team, you will lead Europe-focused disputes end-to-end, reporting to the Head of Litigation, EMEA and AMA. You will partner across legal and business functions to manage high-stakes matters with autonomy and sound judgment. This role blends strategic risk assessment with practical litigation execution in a fast-paced environment. You will help shape regional litigation strategy and mentor junior team members, contributing to TikTok’s broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end litigation for Europe, including pre-litigation, e-discovery, fact-finding, witness prep, drafting, conferences, ADR or trial prep
• Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel to ensure high-quality legal work and overall strategy
• Deliver high-quality legal work with minimal supervision, advising on complex matters, contracts, and investigations
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to support litigation strategy and regulatory matters
• Understand and apply relevant laws with precision to diverse matters
• Identify legal risks in business contexts and provide informed recommendations, consulting stakeholders as needed
• Lead on complex legal matters with autonomy and responsibility when warranted
• Balance business and legal implications of advice with a risk-aware mindset
• Keep regional team informed of developments and mentor junior litigators

Key requirements

• Extensive experience managing litigation in Europe
• Qualified lawyer in one (or more) TikTok operating jurisdictions
• Team player with strong people skills and ability to engage across the organization
