VolkerFitzpatrick is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for the Earthworks team within the Southern Renewals Enterprise. The permanent position is based in Blackfriars, London, and supports the commercial management of rail infrastructure renewal projects across the Southern region. The employer seeks quantity-surveying experience on civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction schemes.
Candidates should understand NEC contracts, with NEC3 or NEC4 experience preferred, and have experience of managing subcontracts, controlling costs and preparing commercial reports. Analytical and negotiation skills are requested, together with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and other project participants. Rail, earthworks or geotechnical experience is desirable, as is knowledge of Network Rail procedures and commercial processes.
