Senior Software Engineer, Web

Overview

In this role you will design and evolve high‑performance web platforms that deliver market data to members and the investing public. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to shape the front‑end and back‑end experience, ensure quality and reliability, and drive automation in a fast‑paced trading environment. You’ll mentor peers, contribute to architecture decisions, and own features end‑to‑end from design to production. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality
• Create customer documentation
• Act as project manager for cross‑party features
• Implement automated unit tests and ensure production readiness
• Provide input into team sprint planning and participate in meetings
• Peer code reviews and requirements gathering
• Write technical documentation and specifications
• Support production systems and participate in weekend testing as needed
• Mentor other engineers; serve as SME for systems/technology

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in high‑performance, data‑driven websites
• MVC web frameworks experience (Django preferred)
• JavaScript experience
• Python experience or willingness to learn Python
• Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with Linux/UNIX
• Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, or ReactJS is a plus
• Experience with Python unit testing and full‑stack web testing is a plus
