Overview

In this role you will design and manage robust cloud-based data platforms, focusing on automation, security and reliability. You will collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to implement and govern data infrastructure across Databricks, Azure Synapse and related services. You’ll drive automation, IaC and platform operations to scale our data capabilities. This is an opportunity to work with modern cloud data tooling and contribute to a resilient data platform that supports analytics at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate robust cloud data platforms with emphasis on reliability and security
• Work across Databricks and Azure Synapse environments and related tooling
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, or Bicep) to automate deployments
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
• Administer Databricks workspace, Unity Catalog, and data governance
• Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL
• Develop scalable data pipelines in Python/PySpark
• Focus on security, access management, automation, and platform operations

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience building and managing data platforms
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure, automation and security
• Experience across Databricks and Azure Synapse (broader data platform)
• IaC experience (Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep)
• CI/CD knowledge (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps)
• Databricks workspace administration and governance (Unity Catalog)
• Monitoring and observability skills (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL)
• Python / PySpark for scalable data pipelines
