ACA Qualified Accountant

In this role, you will support a Cyprus-based hedge fund by delivering robust financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You will work closely with senior management and external auditors to ensure accurate international accounts and timely tax reporting. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior management to set objectives, budgets, and timetables for accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance functions
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements for international entities; develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses
• Produce consolidated accounts and reconcile them; support ongoing consolidation processes
• Review and negotiate agreements; understand commercial and legal objectives
• Prepare periodic reports (tax, VAT, etc.) and liaise with tax authorities and other regulators
• Participate in document and accounting system projects, including specification, implementation, integration, and migration with the cross-functional team
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal audit/risk teams to review and report
• Manage a portfolio of projects (asset transactions, property agreements, accounting/audit, stakeholder communications)
• Ensure cross-departmental coordination (HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, Admin) to maintain financial control across functions
• Conduct due diligence on clients and service providers

Key requirements

• First Class bachelor degree and ACA Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in Audit and general accounting
• Practical problem-solving with large datasets; ability to convey ideas/results clearly
