Overview
In this role you will join a growing litigation team in Exeter to handle claimant personal injury matters. You will manage your own caseload while collaborating with colleagues in a supportive environment, and contribute to business development and client relationships. The position offers hybrid working after onboarding and clear opportunities for progression within a growing firm. You will engage with referrers and clients to expand the department’s footprint and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of claimant personal injury matters
- Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive team
- Develop the department by identifying new opportunities
- Build relationships with referrers and clients
- Devote effort to client care and effective communication
- Support business development activities
- Attend Exeter office at least 2 days per week; hybrid after onboarding
- Occasional travel to other Devon/Somerset offices if required
Key requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in personal injury (solicitors or legal executives)
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Proactive approach to business development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Nice-to-have: experience with clinical negligence claims
- Candidates with a client following or strong BD skills are welcome
