Finance Systems Specialist

Overview

In this role you will support the finance systems setup for a new international office, collaborating with Finance, Technology and external vendors to ensure that financial structures, processes and reporting are correctly configured and tested. You won’t be doing standard application support; you’ll apply accounting knowledge to translate processes into the finance system. The role centers on Aderant Expert (or Elite 3E) expertise, GL design and system testing, with potential involvement in broader international growth projects. This is a hands-on position with impact across financial data integrity and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support finance systems setup for a new international office
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology and third‑party vendors
• Configure and test financial structures, processes and reporting
• Design and map General Ledger components
• Test transactions from sub-ledgers through to the GL
• Perform financial data validation and reconciliation
• Work with management/financial accountants
• Potential involvement in new office/entity setup and wider international projects

Key requirements

• Strong Aderant Expert experience; Elite 3E also considered
• General Ledger design and GL mapping
• Understanding of AP, AR, billing and cash/accrual accounting
• Finance systems implementation, configuration and testing
• Testing transactions from sub-ledgers to GL
• Financial data validation and reconciliation
• Experience with management/financial accountants
• Law firm finance systems experience preferred
• SQL / financial reporting experience beneficial
