Apply for the Senior Business Analyst
Location: London
Job Description:

Senior Business Analyst, Lending UK | 3 days a week in the office | £75,000–£90,000

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to own requirements and functional delivery for lending software projects, from initial discovery through client acceptance. This is a hands‑on senior position with real responsibility and a strong focus on commercial outcomes.

The company develops configurable software for lenders and insurers. It is a founder‑led tech scale‑up, where decisions are made quickly, and your judgement is valued. The Lending team is expanding and needs a senior analyst to lead implementations from the first discovery call to client sign‑off.

You will lead discovery and scoping, question requests that increase costs without adding value, and write clear, testable specifications and user stories. You will also be hands‑on, configuring fields and workflows, working with JSON and SQL as needed, and seeing work through testing and user acceptance. You will work closely with a Project Manager, who manages the plan and budget, while you focus on requirements and functional quality. You will also review and mentor junior analysts.

What we’re looking for

  • Lending experience as a business analyst, in any area of lending, for example asset finance, SME or commercial lending, consumer credit or mortgages
  • Business analysis experience on SaaS, workflow, CRM or operational software implementations
  • Excellent requirements, process mapping and specification writing, with a record of getting formal sign‑off
  • Strong commercial judgement. You proactively challenge requests and understand how changes affect effort and cost.
  • You are comfortable with configuration‑led delivery, testing, and user acceptance. JSON experience is a plus, SQL is helpful, and a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Confident leading client conversations independently

What’s on offer

  • You will have real ownership of requirements and functional delivery.
  • You will work directly with the product, not just on documentation.
  • You will join a small team where senior input is valued, with opportunities to take on more leadership.
  • The salary is £75,000 to £90,000, plus benefits.

You must have the right to work in the UK and be available to work in the office three days a week.
