Senior Quantity Surveyor (Facades Remediation)

Overview

In this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will manage the commercial performance of multiple live facade remediation projects for a well-established contractor in London. You’ll work with commercial and operational colleagues to keep schemes profitable while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships. You’ll lead procurement for cladding and façade packages and handle financial reporting to forecast project outcomes. The position offers exposure to high-profile refurbishment work and a chance to shape commercial strategy across live projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle from procurement to final account
• Lead procurement of cladding and façade packages, selecting and negotiating with subcontractors
• Monitor financial performance via CVR reporting, cost tracking, and forecasting
• Administer subcontractor accounts, payments, and contractual obligations
• Assess, price, and agree variations with clients and subcontractors
• Manage project cash flow and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
• Lead a team of 1/2 Quantity Surveyors
• Office-based in Waterloo with regular site visits across London

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS within a main contractor (facade/cladding remediation) environment
• Proven experience in cladding and façade procurement and delivery (essential)
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently (ideally 1m–3m range)
• Strong knowledge of CVR reporting, cost control, subcontract procurement, and variations
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead packages independently while supporting a wider team
