AI Analyst, BlueBay Asset Management (London)

Overview

In this role you will embed with investment desks to serve as the AI expert for enhancing investment decisions. You will scope, build, and iterate AI-powered solutions tailored to real investment workflows and collaborate closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders. You’ll research new AI techniques, design evaluation frameworks, and translate findings into practical prototypes used on the trading floor. You will be the go-to technically informed resource on AI capabilities, driving adoption through user feedback and iterative tool design. This is a permanent, full-time role in London.

Responsibilities

• Embed with desks to diagnose workflows and build AI-powered solutions for the investment process
• Design, test, and optimise AI workflows from scoping to repeatable output
• Research new model architectures, agent frameworks, and tooling and translate into prototypes
• Build and maintain evaluation frameworks to benchmark output quality and reliability
• Be the most technically informed person on the investment floor regarding AI capabilities and limitations
• Collect structured user feedback and analyse interaction patterns to improve tool design and adoption

Key requirements

• Strong mental model of how AI systems work and how to apply advances

• Exceptional communication skills to explain AI concepts to portfolio managers and traders
• Intellectual curiosity and staying up-to-date with AI developments
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Python programming with API integration, scripting, and rapid prototyping
• Advanced prompt, context and loop engineering, RAG, agentic and multi-step workflows
• Ability to evaluate AI output reliability in an investment context
