DescriptionWe are hiring for our client, a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary consultancy, to appoint an Associate / Principal Structural Engineer to lead and grow their structural design team. This is a key strategic appointment, with a clear route to Associate Director. The successful Associate / Principal Structural Engineer will lead projects from feasibility to handover, mentor colleagues and help shape the practice’s growth.

The Role
Lead structural design in steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber
Act as Lead Structural Engineer within multidisciplinary teams
Deliver feasibility studies, preliminary designs and technical reports
Manage budgets and programmes, and lead design reviews and verification checks
Coach and mentor junior engineers
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders
Win new work through your network and prepare compelling proposals
Undertake site visits and surveys
The Person
Degree in Structural, Civil or a related discipline
10+ years’ experience in building-focused structural design
Chartered, or approaching Chartership
Strong MS Office and Excel skills and structural design software
Excellent communicator who commands respect from clients and colleagues
Collaborative, organised and effective under pressure
