Performance and Operations Manager
Downpatrick
Temporary minimum 26 weeks
Rate of Pay: £22.99 per hour
Hours of Work: 36hrs per week
The Client: Local Government body in the Downpatrick area serving local residents.
The Role:
The post holder will be responsible for the effective management of refuse and cleansing services in their area. The refuse service consists of domestic and commercial refuse collection of residual and recyclable waste, collection of bulky domestic items and delivery of wheeled bins. The cleansing service includes cleansing of streets, roads, parks and open spaces, street washing, graffiti control and cleansing of public conveniences. They will ensure that the services are planned and delivered effectively and that through effective monitoring and evaluating of performance the services develop and improve continually.
The post holder will lead a supervisory team to ensure that all key objectives in the refuse and cleansing section are delivered in a safe and efficient manner. They will also support the Head of Refuse and Cleansing in delivering high quality services across the district through effective implementation of performance management across staff and resources.
Essential Criteria:
- A third level qualification for example degree, NVQ level 4 (or equivalent)
- A minimum of three years experience in a managerial role including the supervision of staff
- Hold a full (ie not provisional) current UK driving licence and access to a car or *have access to a means of transport which would enable the applicant to carry out the duties of the post
- Must be willing to have a Basic Access NI clearance carried out
Where applicants do hot hold the qualifications as outlined above they must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience in a comprehensive asset management role
