IT Procurement Team Lead

Overview

In this role you will lead an experienced IT procurement team within a global, high-spend function. You will own a large, multi-region IT spend portfolio and shape category strategies with senior stakeholders up to board level. You drive cost savings and strategic sourcing excellence while coaching a team of procurement professionals. Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead Procurement Specialists and Category Managers to ensure best-in-class sourcing practices
• Own a large global IT & technology spend portfolio (Software, Hardware, Services, Telco) with EMEA, LATAM and APAC focus
• Manage key stakeholder relationships up to Board level in EMEA
• Collaborate with Procurement Leadership on innovative category strategies to achieve cost savings and strong supplier relationships
• Represent the high-spending procurement function to SVP/Director/Board-level members

Key requirements

• Extensive IT procurement and strategic sourcing experience with multi-million spends and proven cost savings
• Proven track record of leading a procurement team from Buyers to Procurement Managers
• Experience spearheading large-scale sourcing projects across technology categories (Software, Hardware, Telco, Services)
• Degree, MBA or equivalent
• MCIPS & Prince2 qualifications (desired but not essential)
• Articulacy and professionalism in dealing with senior stakeholders
