Scrum Master

Overview

As Scrum Master, you enable delivery for remote, cross‑geos teams within TJX’s Global Buying Tools ART. You guide agile practices, remove impediments, and help the team commit to value-driven releases across on‑prem and cloud solutions. You partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs and ensure timely, quality outcomes, while aligning with TJX SDP and compliance. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative IT environment and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate impediment removal and dependency tracking
• Lead Agile ceremonies (daily standups, reviews, retrospectives)
• Ensure team agreements and commitments
• Coordinate with Scrum of Scrums and other teams (e.g., Shared Services, DevOps)
• Partner with Product Owner to refine backlog and prioritise work
• Support estimation activities and possibly Release Planning
• Facilitate capacity planning and monitor metrics/KPI delivery
• Protect team from external interference and ensure time tracking accuracy
• Support ART Readiness/Preparations and Flow Board management for Kanban as needed
• May act as Epic Owner

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent delivery experience
• Strong Scrum Master experience in SAFe environments
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP
• Proven ability to work with distributed teams and matrix organizations
• Experience with agile tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence without formal authority
• Track record of measurable business impact and continuous process improvement
• Experience in hybrid Scrum and waterfall environments
