Job Description:

You’ve spent a couple of years selling: recruitment, gym memberships, lettings, hospitality, anything with a target and a phone. Now you want to take that into B2B tech, somewhere your work is seen and your career moves quickly. This is that role.

If you’ve sold gym memberships, you already know how to open a conversation with a stranger. If you’ve been a recruiter, you already know how to call busy people who weren’t expecting you. That’s most of this job.

Vitrue Health builds VIDA, a platform that helps employers prevent and treat musculoskeletal (MSK) pain: back and neck pain, desk-related injury, sports injuries and long-term conditions. It uses clinical technology we adapted from the way pro athletes are assessed. More than 130 employers use it, including Gymshark, Wise, Just Eat Takeaway, Fidelity International, E.ON Next, Bupa and Danone.

We’re a team of about 20, backed by leading UK investors, and MSK pain is the second-biggest cause of workplace absence. The people we speak to have a real problem and we have a product that fixes it, so you’ll be selling something you’re proud to sell.

What you’ll actually do

You’ll open conversations with senior people at companies you’d recognise, and hand our Account Executives meetings that turn into customers.

  • Master the talk track. Learn our scripts, objection library and best call recordings, then find the version that works for each buyer: an HR director, a head of health and safety, a benefits lead.
  • Become the expert in the conversation. Learn enough about MSK health, workplace regulation and employee wellbeing to hold confident conversations with senior managers.
  • Open enterprise accounts. Research target companies, map who matters and get them to take a meeting. The phone is your main tool, backed by email and LinkedIn.
  • Get properly coached. Weekly call reviews, role‑plays and live feedback from the AEs and founders. You’ll practise handling every type of person and objection until it’s second nature.
  • Shape what we say. What you hear on calls feeds straight into our messaging, marketing and product.

It’s a demanding job. You’ll make a lot of calls and hear ‘no’ often, and the people who do well enjoy that competition. We’ll give you the training, the tools and the support to get very good at it, quickly.

Where this goes

In a team of 20 your results are visible to everyone, including the CEO, and the path to closing is real.

  • A clear route to Account Executive. We’re a high-growth startup and we love it when our SDRs grow into AE roles. Our last SDR took on her own closing deals within about a year and moved into an AE role soon after.
  • Responsibility from day one. You’ll own a patch of target accounts from your first month. Meetings booked by our SDRs have opened some of our largest customers.
  • Close to the whole company. You’ll work alongside the CEO, the AEs and our clinical team every week, and your ideas get heard.
  • Earnings that follow performance. £35k base plus £12k on-target commission (£47k OTE), and commission is uncapped. Share options mean you own part of what you’re helping build.

Who we’re looking for

You have at least a year in a target-driven, customer-facing role, and you’re ready to move into tech sales. You don’t need tech experience; we’ll teach you the product and the market.

  • Comfortable on the phone. You like talking to strangers and can bring energy to a cold call.
  • A record of hitting targets. You can tell us your numbers and how you hit them.
  • Resilience. Rejection doesn’t knock you off course; you learn from it and pick up the phone again.
  • Coachable. You ask for feedback, act on it and get visibly better week to week.
  • Aligned with our values. You want to be part of a close, competitive team that cares about helping people live without pain.

It helps if you’ve experienced MSK pain yourself or seen someone close to you go through it. Many of our team have.

The practical bits

  • Location. Our office is near Old Street, London. We’re in the office together Tuesday to Thursday, and you can work from home on Mondays and Fridays (or if you like, work full time from the office and get an extra 5 days holidays to make back the commute time!).
  • Benefits. Share options, Bupa private health insurance, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (which you can take or bank as holiday), 2 days’ learning leave, cycle-to-work scheme, Headspace and regular team socials.
  • Our process. Three stages: a 30-minute first interview, a live mock cold call, then meeting us in person. We move quickly and aim to give you a decision within ten days.

We care about inclusive hiring and diverse teams.

If you’d like any adjustments during the process, tell us and we’ll make them.
