Sr Solutions Advisor – Insurance Risk & Finance

Overview

In this role you act as the insurance domain authority across strategic opportunities and existing accounts, shaping SAS solutions for IFRS 17, actuarial modelling, reserving and pricing. You’ll collaborate with sales, services, and R&D to translate business needs into tangible demonstrations, workshops, and POCs. You’ll contribute to market-ready assets and help customers realise value from SAS solutions. The position combines pre-sales influence with ongoing advisory across the insurance risk & finance spectrum.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sales and run discovery to capture business, risk and finance requirements
• Design and deliver demos, workshops, POCs, and executive presentations
• Articulate value and differentiation against vendor alternatives
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses
• Develop demo assets and reusable content leveraging SAS Viya
• Coordinate with Services, SIs, R&D, and Account Executives to resolve escalations
• Advise strategic accounts on maximising value from deployed solutions
• Represent SAS at industry forums and with implementation partners
• Provide market feedback to Product Management and ensure security policies are followed
• Support cross-sell opportunities from ongoing customer relationships

Key requirements

• 6+ years in insurance actuarial, risk, or finance or equivalent consulting/analytics experience
• Actuarial qualification (FIA/FSA or equivalent) or progress towards it
• Insurance domain experience in life, general, composite or reinsurance
• Knowledge of IFRS 17, actuarial modelling, reserving, pricing, or ALM
• Ability to translate requirements into technology solutions and communicate with senior stakeholders
• Experience presenting to executives and handling challenging questions
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable
