AI Software Engineer – Investments Technology

Overview

In this role you will design, develop, and deploy AI-powered capabilities that drive business impact within Neuberger’s Fixed Income Technology team. You’ll collaborate with business users, engineering, and data teams to deliver scalable, production-grade AI systems and new features leveraging LLMs and RAG. You will stay at the forefront of AI/ML advances and contribute to shaping next-generation intelligent products in a collaborative, innovative environment. Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end AI-driven solutions from data ingestion to deployment
• Integrate dashboards and large language models into product features (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, MCP Servers, RAG)
• Write clean, well-tested, documented code following engineering best practices
• Design and build agentic workflows, web dashboards, and backend APIs with FI business users
• Troubleshoot and maintain production applications with Application Support
• Stay current with AI/ML research and evaluate new tools and frameworks

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
• 1-2+ years of professional software development or production AI deployments
• Proficiency in Python and AI/agentic frameworks, FastAPI/Flask, Pandas, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP Servers, RAG systems
• Strong understanding of data structures, data pipelines, SQL databases (MS SQL Server / Postgres, Snowflake)
• Solid software engineering fundamentals (Git, CI/CD, testing, Docker)
• Knowledge of Fixed Income Markets or financial sector desirable
