We’re looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice CAD Technician to join a busy carpentry and joinery business in Maidstone. This is ideal if you’re already studying a CAD Technician course, ideally in your second year or with some CAD experience and want to build a career in construction.

- Assist with creating and modifying CAD drawings for carpentry and joinery projects
- Interpret architectural and technical drawings
- Prepare and update detailed technical drawings and project documentation
- Support the design team with layouts, measurements and material specifications
- Keep digital drawing files and project information accurate and organised
- Work closely with colleagues and learn how drawings translate into work on site
- Currently studying a CAD Technician course at college, ideally with some CAD knowledge and experience
- Genuinely interested in a career in construction (rather than architecture)
- An interest in carpentry and joinery, which would be a real advantage
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable working accurately with measurements and technical information
- Keen to learn, ask questions and develop your technical skills
- A good communicator and team player
- Organised, proactive and able to follow instructions and company procedures
- Training, support and mentoring from an experienced team
- Hands-on experience applying your college learning in a professional environment
