Senior Public Health Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Public Health Design Engineer, you will lead technically complex water services and drainage design for landmark Birmingham projects, collaborating with top architects and project managers. You’ll translate client needs into high-quality, sustainable design solutions while maintaining strong client relationships. You will shape grid-aligned drainage and water systems, including fire fighting, water treatment, solar heating, pumped drainage, and storm water modelling. This role offers visibility in iconic schemes and a chance to advance innovative, environmentally conscious building services.

Responsibilities

• lead delivery of water services and drainage design for projects
• work in a client-facing capacity alongside project managers
• design systems such as fire fighting, water treatment, solar water heating, pumped drainage
• perform storm water modelling and assess sustainable technologies like rainwater and greywater harvesting
• collaborate with architects and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve aesthetically and technically robust schemes
