Rural Property Lawyer (2+ PQE) – Taunton

Overview

In this role you will join a respected regional firm in Taunton as a Rural Property solicitor or FCILEx, focusing on advising farmers, landowners and rural businesses. You will help grow the firm’s rural offering and may lead the practice over time, working on sales, tenancies, development projects and energy schemes. The position blends high‑quality work with strong training, mentoring and career progression in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise on farm, estate and agricultural land sales and acquisitions
• Handle agricultural tenancies and farm business tenancies
• Support strategic land and development projects
• Work on renewable energy schemes related property matters
• Manage easements, rights of way and other property rights
• Oversee estate management and diversification projects
• Develop relationships with clients and referrers to grow the practice

Key requirements

• 2+ years’ PQE
• Experience in Rural Property, Agricultural Law, Commercial Property or related area
• Strong technical and commercial skills
• Ability to build lasting client and referrer relationships
• Genuine interest in the rural and agricultural sector
