Overview
In this role you will manage high-value serious injury and catastrophic injury claims, guiding them from instruction to settlement or trial. You will lead litigation strategy and coordinate with clients, medical experts, counsel and insurers. The position sits in a specialist team focused on life-changing injuries, aiming to deliver outstanding client outcomes. You will support junior lawyers and provide clear, empathetic legal advice throughout the claim, with a strong emphasis on impact and quality. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of high-value serious injury and catastrophic injury claims
- Lead on litigation strategy and progress cases efficiently
- Liaise directly with clients, medical experts, counsel and insurers
- Prepare cases for settlement meetings, joint settlement discussions and trial
- Provide guidance and support to junior lawyers
- Ensure clients receive clear, empathetic, high-quality legal advice
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor or experienced lawyer with proven experience in serious or catastrophic injury claims
- Strong litigation, negotiation and case management skills
- Ability to manage a significant and complex caseload independently
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Client-focused approach with commitment to outstanding outcomes
