Location: Rochester, BAE Systems

Working Arrangements: Full time on site

Duration: 12 months

Hourly Rate: £52.46 PAYE or £70.81 Umbrella

BAE Systems are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead engineering programmes within the Electronic Systems team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to engineering teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards.
• Liaise with customers, stakeholders, suppliers and support functions.
• Monitor project schedules, costs and risks.
• Support and guide engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practice.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering projects involving electronic or real-time systems.
• Strong technical engineering background.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams and take ownership of project delivery.
• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• HNC qualification as a minimum.
• Aerospace or Defence industry background.
• Around 10 years’ engineering experience.
• Previous experience progressing from an engineering role into project management.
