OTTO JAMES CONSULTING has been retained in a Financial Controller Search & Selection process for a UK Online Digital organisation based in Cheshire.n nOur partner is a multinational £121 million turnover organisation who are looking to expand through acquisition and diversification. This is a senior appointment which will require a talented, Qualified accountant, experienced in managing stakeholders in the UK and mainland Europe, while also managing a team of 6 heads in the Cheshire Head Office.
nThe Rolen nAs Financial Controller, you will be positioned in the business as an integral part of the day to day running, and the strategic growth of the organisation. n nThe position has come about following the organisations growth in 2025 and their future for 2026. This role has dovetailed into the retirement of the previous Financial Controller. This has been fortuitous as they had grown the organisation, however as the business now targets future growth, the new FC will be able to make this role their-own, implement new process and procedures, and will be able to do this as a true greenfield role.
The nature of my clients business is such that they have a real growth opportunity, which requires the input of an accounting professional, who understands that this growth will require a foundation of solid accounting practices and procedures which will enable a robust framework to support the commercial and technical upskilling of the teams.n n nKey Responsibilities you will oversee, develop and perfect:nn

- Management Accounts – taking variances and action point to stakeholders

nYou will be able to mould this role into what you want it to be, as you will be reporting to the Managing Director directly, while sitting at a senior level, supporting the Operations and Sales Directors as peers.n nYour Profilen nMy client is a true manufacturing business who value a hands-on Financial Controller, who looks to add value throughout their day-to-day duties.nn nn The Commerciality of this role pivot around a high level of Analytical Skills within Excel and highly effective communicative skills. You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of a reporting suite which will be to a senior stakeholder group, who are not all from a finance background. Therefore, your communicative skills will be utilised here.nn nThe Companynn nn Growth is a key aspect to the organisation, however they have stressed that this growth can only be supported through a solid finance foundation. This is why my client wants to recruit a qualified accounting professional, who sees the opportunity that this role brings.nn nSalary & Benefitsnnn The salary banding for Financial Controller UK has been set at £78,500 to £85,000 plus car.nn
