It is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business with a strong family of brands and a genuinely collaborative culture.

The Role

This is a newly created, key appointment within the group’s finance function. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Group Financial Controller will take ownership of the financial control environment across a multi-site, multi-entity business, leading a high-performing team and ensuring accurate and timely reporting while acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership and operational teams. The role combines strong technical accounting with real commercial influence, offering the opportunity to shape processes, play a central part in the implementation of a new finance system, and help build a finance function that can keep pace with a rapidly scaling business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely management accounts, board packs and KPI reporting
  • Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing finance team, embedding a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with venue and operational managers
  • Deliver site-level performance analysis, including margins, labour costs and stock control
  • Manage the statutory audit process and liaise with external auditors and tax advisers
  • Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships and treasury reporting
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE and other statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Play a key role in the implementation of a new finance system, strengthening financial controls and processes across a growing estate
  • Support capital expenditure appraisals, new site openings and acquisition activity

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience at Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager level
  • Strong background in multi-entity reporting and group consolidation
  • Experience of managing and developing a finance team
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Desirable:

  • Ideally, experience within hospitality, or a closely related leisure or multi-site environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth or rapidly scaling business
  • Exposure to EPOS, stock and payroll systems integration
  • Involvement in systems implementation or process improvement projects
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, refinancing or new site openings

Why Apply

  • A senior, highly visible role within one of Northern Ireland’s leading hospitality groups
  • Direct reporting line to the CFO, with close exposure to the senior leadership team
  • A newly created role, leading a high-performing team with genuine scope to shape finance processes and structure
  • The chance to join a rapidly scaling group at a pivotal stage of its growth, with a new finance system being implemented
  • Competitive salary and benefits package, plus staff discounts across the group’s venues
