Operational Resilience Manager

Overview

In this role, you will strengthen Heathrow’s ability to anticipate, prepare for and respond to disruption by weaving resilience into airport operations. You’ll work with a broad network across the business to ensure plans, incident management, and responses are coherent and effective. Your work supports safer, more reliable travel experiences while contributing to Heathrow’s resilience and sustainability goals. You will lead with cross-functional collaboration and deliver measurable improvements in resilience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust operational resilience, contingency, and business continuity plans for airport operations
• Provide oversight and assurance of resilience activities across the business, promoting consistency and best practice
• Plan and deliver resilience exercises, testing programmes, and post-incident reviews with effective lessons learned implementation
• Support operational projects and strategic initiatives by integrating resilience considerations into planning and decision-making
• Lead or participate in on-call incident response arrangements and incident management activities
• Manage day-to-day Command & Control functions while strengthening stakeholder relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance

Key requirements

• Experience in emergency response, crisis management, business continuity, resilience planning or related discipline
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
• Confidence leading discussions, challenging constructively and driving accountability for resilience outcomes
• Experience delivering projects, exercises or operational improvement initiatives
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to stay calm under pressure
