Associate Clinical / Counselling Psychologist

Are you an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist interested in adding private practice work alongside your NHS or other clinical role?
Well Mind People is looking for an experienced Associate Clinical / Counselling Psychologist to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team in Wallingford.
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist) is essential.
We’d particularly love to hear from someone who:
- Has substantial post-qualification clinical experience – this is not a junior role
- Is confident working independently and managing complexity and clinical risk
- Can provide CBT alongside other evidence-based psychological interventions
- Is ideally BABCP accredited
- Has experience with adults and/or children and young people – experience with both would be particularly welcome
- Is registered with major private health insurers, or willing and eligible to register, including Bupa, WPA and Aviva
- Is UK based and already has the right to work in the UK
This could particularly suit an experienced NHS psychologist who would like to develop a part‑time private practice while benefiting from the referrals, support and professional connection of an established clinical team.
The role is based at our practice in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, with flexibility around building your caseload alongside your existing commitments.
