We have an exciting opportunity for either a newly or recently qualified B7 Clinical Psychologist looking for a post with potential career progression to join the Isle of Wight Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) under a Preceptorship development programme (the progression to a Band 8a would be subject to the successful completion of required competencies to a satisfactory trust standard).
We would also welcome applications from Band 8a Clinical Psychologists. Based on relevant experience, the post can be offered as a B7 Preceptorship arrangement or Band 8a.
You will deliver specialist psychological assessments and therapy, for individuals, groups and families as well as consultation to other professionals. You will be working with an established psychological team that operates within a wider multi-disciplinary service to deliver a range of therapies including but not exclusive to CBT, systemic therapy, psychotherapy, creative therapy and EMDR.
There are many and varied opportunities for personal development and clinical specialism within the role. Examples of such opportunities include training as a clinical supervisor, lecturing or becoming a personal mentor through our links with the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Course at Southampton University, undertaking leadership training and qualifications with the Trust Leadership Programme, and undertaking clinical research through linking with NHS research groups.
