Reconciliation Business Lead Global Fintech

Your Role:

We are looking for an experienced Business Lead to oversee the organization and support of financial reconciliation processes and account management within a financial institution. The key focus is to build a robust system for monitoring consistency between transactions in the payment system, Core Banking System (CBS), and internal ledgers.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Set up and manage daily/monthly reconciliation between CBS, internal services, and processing platforms
• Identify, classify, and escalate discrepancies; initiate corrective actions
• Align account models for new products with technical and finance teams
• Design and validate accounting schemes (postings) for various operations
• Define account parameters—service modes, activity types, and restrictions
• Formulate requirements for reports (statements, trial balances, daily balance sheets, cash flow, etc.)
• Ensure data accuracy in reports; participate in internal/external audit preparations
• Maintain a reconciliation and accounting backlog
• Define requirements for integrations with processing, payment gateways, and banks
• Develop and implement Data Quality Assurance procedures
• Assess the impact of new products/features on existing account logic and accounting practices
• Participate in testing of postings, account flows, and reconciliation logic prior to launch

• Comfortable working cross-functionally between finance and tech teams
• Stay calm under pressure and love finding patterns in financial data

Your Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, banking operations, or payment systems
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, posting schemes, revenue and liability recognition
• Experience working with CBS/ERP/financial data interfaces
• Ability to work with large volumes of financial data; proficient in Excel; knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Experience preparing financial or managerial reports
