Senior Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you will perform electrical safety evaluations for a diverse client base and drive projects from assessment through to completion. You will work with customers and cross-functional teams to interpret standards, document findings, and produce high-quality evaluation reports. You’ll operate within Intertek’s quality and accreditation framework, ensuring timely, compliant evaluations that support product safety. This is a global, collaborative environment where you help shape safety outcomes for a wide range of products.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical safety evaluations for Intertek’s clients
• Manage assigned projects within Intertek guidelines
• Assess technical documentation and processes against standard requirements
• Provide project updates to customers, as well as management
• Complete and review Intertek’s evaluation test reports
• Ensure evaluations are completed to standard and within set timescales
• Provide technical support to the business
• Attend customer calls and meetings
• Ensure evaluations are conducted in conjunction within Intertek’s quality system and accreditation requirements

Key requirements

• Relevant Electrical/Electronic formal qualifications
• Good IT Skills, experience with excel, word and data retention systems
• Experience of working in accordance with a Quality Management System
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other members of the team
• Background in product safety testing is desirable with knowledge in IEC/EN 62368/61558/UL62368
