Associate Director, Investment Management & Reporting, Tax Advisory Team

Overview

In this role you will lead client relationships and delivery of tax advisory services for institutional investors and investment managers within Deloitte’s Tax Advisory team. You will develop and coach junior staff, manage multiple client engagements, and identify tax issues and new business opportunities. You’ll work with UK and international clients, ensuring risk controls and high-quality outcomes, while contributing to a collaborative, purpose-driven culture in London.

Responsibilities

• Build and own key client relationships and oversee delivery of tax advisory services
• Develop and coach junior team members and manage their workstreams
• Identify tax issues for clients and pursue new business opportunities leveraging networks
• Coordinate tax reporting and respond to ad-hoc client queries
• Support design, establishment and operation of public market funds for investment managers
• Ensure risk procedures are followed and take financial responsibility for engagements
• Cultivate client relationships through referrals and cross-team collaboration
• Target new clients and opportunities to grow the business
• Work with clients to apply practical and commercial tax concepts across global engagements

Key requirements

• Knowledge of fund structures and associated investment tax considerations
• Experience of investment tax reviews and advice
• Experience advising on withholding taxes
• Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and projects with competing priorities
• Strong proactivity to drive projects forward with guidance from senior leaders
• Experience managing junior staff and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work closely with clients and lead interactions confidently
