Downey Osborne is working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to join its specialist fund accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of fund accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio of investment funds, while building client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
• Experience in fund accounting or investment fund financial reporting
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts and financial statements
• Good understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues

About Your New Role

Always

• Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements for investment funds
• Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio of funds
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Manage client relationships and deliver reporting within agreed deadlines
• Maintain accurate financial records and effective accounting controls

Often

• Liaise with clients, auditors and professional advisers on fund accounting matters
• Review fund accounts and financial reporting deliverables
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Investigate accounting queries and resolve reporting discrepancies
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Occasionally

• Support complex fund accounting and financial reporting queries
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Assist with the development of team knowledge and technical expertise
