Contentious Tax Partner- Build a practice- Top 50 law firm

Overview

In this role you will lead the creation of a contentious tax practice for a Top 50 law firm and serve large corporate clients. You will join a growth-focused environment and work to leverage the firm’s existing client base while bringing a strong following. You will drive business development and represent the firm in strategic tax matters. This is an opportunity to shape a new practice and progress to partnership.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new contentious tax practice for the firm
• Develop and manage a client portfolio of large corporate clients
• Leverage existing client base and firm relationships to drive growth
• Lead business development and cross-selling across departments
• Aim for partnership by demonstrating impact and leadership

Key requirements

• Partnership or 10+ PQE with potential for partnership
• Proven track record in contentious tax matters
• Existing client following of large corporates
• Experience at a City firm (not Big 4)
• Willingness to build a new practice for the firm
